i chose the opposite of what you picked, i went the long term route for deep value and with a portfolio that wasn't very diversified (not a very good idea 😂). I ended up experiencing the exact same things you mentioned - getting diluted was just one of the "norm" 😂.
I end up finishing the past 3 years with a average of 78% compounded p.a. .....BUT it was horrible, i end up developing an anxiety issue when sleeping and i still think i'm making really poor decisions till date and am still trying to change T.T the journey was definitely gruelling, you get long periods of weeks where you're just down 50% or more, and it feels horrible because i just wasn't diversified and couldn't do anything about it accept for sit and wait.
i'm still trying to work my way through those, focusing on investing full time. Its been crazy hard the past 3-4 years because i'm not working either. But i know that i'll definitely regret it if i die not doing what i like, what im doing now
